ok i belive we need to make a better contrey becuase we use air money (paper money with no value of gold or silver) and most likely to die from (aaaa la la la la... boooom!) and are most hated so what do you think?

ok im a bad speller i know. some of you are offended by this and i dont know why you have to relize i would live any where else then here even in the mts. in the himalayas on a fram at lest i will not die from bombs there
and air money is bad becuase a country with no money or air money has nothing and outhers are going to relize this soon and not trade america

i think that you're confused. If you're talking about America as a whole, then I sort of agree with you, but individually, America is a good place to live.
RaGzOr - I feel no guilt over the decisions our "revious brainless and stupid president" made. Without going into whether President Bush made the right decisions or not, if President Silva made a decision I don't agree with, would it be reasonable for me to hold it against you, another Portugese Citizen? Would you feel guilty if you felt it were the wrong decision?
Cometman - You're 13 years old. As an American Soldier who was in Iraq last year, fighting for your right to free speech, I respect that you have the right to voice an opinion. But I also have the right to voice mine:
Shut up and live a little longer before opening your mouth about things you don't understand. Maybe wait until after you've taken Government class in high school. Maybe you should even wait until you've actually participated in this country's democratic system by voting.
And what is this malarky about dying from bombs? There have been two... TWO attacks on American soil since the end of the American Civil War. Pearl Harbor and the World Trade Center. You're safer in Michigan than you would be in Iraq, I promise you that.
Pixie - The American media have beat this silly notion into our heads that other countries spend all their time bad-mouthing our country and our former President. How arrogant it is for us to think you have nothing better to think about than whether America is doing the right thing.
You've probably been asked that question so many times because while most have learned not to trust the media, it's impossible to hear something over and over again without it leaving a mark on your mind. That's why advertising works.
America is most hated mostly because you stick your nose into all foreign matters and think it
your duty to help those in need.
Shin - Is it not our duty as human beings to help one another? If you see a man dying of thirst, would you not give him water? If you found a starving man, would you not feed him? If a man were homeless and shivering, would you not give him your coat?
If a group of people found a man dying on the street, and the only way for him to live would be for someone to carry him to the hospital and someone to pay his bills, would you be the one to step up? Some of the people in that group wouldn't be strong enough to carry him, and some wouldn't have the finances to take care of his bills. And some would have the strength or the finances or both, but wouldn't be willing to help.
But if one person stepped forth and carried the dying man to the hospital AND paid for his medical treatment, what would you think of that person? Would you be jealous because he had the power and wealth to take care of another, while you don't, or weren't willing to? Would you cast disparaging remarks on HOW he accomplished the task to make yourself feel better about your inability or unwillingness to help? Would you go around telling people, "That man wasn't really dying; the person who 'saved' him only did all that for the praise. They had no right sticking their nose in that 'dying' man's business."
That's how I view other countries who refuse to step in and help their neighbors. If you live in a free country, you shouldn't look next door and think, "Wow, I'm glad I don't live there." You should use the blessings you've been given to ensure that others can receive them as well. Choosing not to help, when you're in a position to do so, is incredibly selfish, and I believe you forfeit the right to voice an opinion on how someone else goes about helping another if you made no effort yourself.

To clarify... I'm not saying individuals lose the right to voice an opinion based on what their country decides. But I do believe a country that makes no effort to help another shouldn't be making official statments regarding how that situation is handled.

ok i might be 13 but im not stupid you are a patriot you belivein america only cuz you fought for it and i do thank you but i do under stand whats going on in america its bad and yea ther has only been 2 attacks but their will be bombs killing us nucular or not and it will come when we lest expect it like it has come befor....... i dont know where else to go with this its america i live here i will have to deal with it also thank really for my freedom of speach and freedom over all!!
Cometman - You're obviously not stupid, because you seem to care, and you have some knowledge of how our country works, but I'd like to know where you got the impression that our money is worthless, that we're likely to die at any moment, and that we're the most hated country in the world. Did you hear this in school from a teacher? Did you learn it from a parent or another family member? Did a friend at school tell you?
As to our money... Go to any country in the world with paper money and find a moneychanger. I guarantee they'll take your "worthless" dollars and give you their version of the same. And those "worthless" dollars will be accepted in exchange for any good or service you can afford. Money's worth is judged by what you can get for it, not by what backs it.
To being attacked... You sound like a child of the cold war, which ended before you were even born. If you run around worrying about whether you're going to die today, you'll never have a good day. Take comfort in the knowledge that our country has been safe and secure for quite some time now, and don't spend too much time worrying. You'll have ulcers before you're 20.
And for being hated... why do you care? If you worked really hard to earn enough money to buy yourself a big house and nice car, and provide the best life you could for your family, would you really care if some idiot drives by and thinks, That guy's a jerk? It doesn't matter what he thinks... he doesn't know you.
By the way, you've got it backwards... I don't believe in America because I fought for it; I fought for it because I believe.

ok i figured this out becuase its easy to see just look at some of our citys and the news the major scandal in detroit is just somehing to put on the news so thay dont have to put the truth on tv adn yea our money is worth something now to the poor countrys but to a country like uk of russia (well russia wouldent anyway)well relize this that our money is crap not saying any time soon but it well and as for geting it backwards... what ever still mad the point
Cometman - So your stance is that our money is only valuable to poor countries? And other powers in the world will soon recognize that our money is worthless and stop doing trade with us? I sincerely doubt countries like the UK and Russia will cut off trade with a superpower because their money is no longer backed by the gold standard.
Here's a question for you... What of the other major powers in the world? Do the UK and Russia keep to the gold standard? What of the EU? How about China, a superpower in the world?

No, the U.S. is hated because of elitists like you. If you read closely before waving your flag of Patriotism around you'd be able to work out he was also from the U.S. so he can't be racist. Another reason he can't be racist is when he referred to the U.S. he didn't say crackers. And being uneducated is not the least bit relevant. I find the humble clueless cute American is adorable in comparison to the snide, cocky pseudo-know it all American. Also, before you pull something stupid out your anus calling me racist I am also an American. The creator is not stupid by the way. He knew about the Gold-standard. All he did was explain it illiterately. Like 95% of other teens in America. To the next 2 posters, no one cares if you agree with already said thought. I never said I hated America. If you read the whole of my post, you would have read that I said I was from America. Also, I stated reasons why America was hated, not why I hated America.
