I know that this was remade, but I don't feel like shifting through page among page to find it, and the other one was kinda...dull. So, with the rise of Cenere's "Getting to know" thread, I made a thread to the same effect as to show off your species of any source or a character.
RULES - I kindly ask you to follow them.
1. Please don't post characters that took you less than 3 minutes to draw, and are intended for a joke, because really, it's not funny. It just takes up space for other people who had characters that have more backdrop story to them to get overshadowed.
2. Can you give a nice Reference sheet? Even though this is not an OCT (Original Character Tournament), I love to know as much as I possibly can about your character...this rule is not required, but requested.
3. No spammy pictures, or animations. Spam animations consist or really fast and random moving around, flashing colors, and really have no character to them, they can cause seizures and some people with epilepsy do go on the forums and art forums.
4. Please don't post abnormally large pictures of a character, because it takes up room for other peoples characters and well...it steals the spotlight.
5. Also, please don't post any SPECIES that took less than 3 minutes to create, as it's annoying. They steal the spotlight, because they get so abundant. Thank you.
So that's all the rules, and here's some of my Species:
Nergyl - The Nergyl are a species on a war striken planet, formerly known as Ammonia (Ironic, ya?). The Nergyl love to fight, and normally shed blood by age 2. Nergyl live relatively shortly now, except for a couple of the Nergyl. Most live till about 40, unless they are a successful Briktuk, and become a Nergyl Elder. Briktuks are shamans, of sorts. Here is a Briktuk mask, how it's used, and what it's used for: The Briktuk Mask (To who it may concern, yes, I did use it in the art skills comp). Nergyl are war people, as I said, and almost all of them die before they can even be old enough for the Briktuk ceremony.
Fun Fact/Fact of the Day: The Nergyl have no genetals, because the "creator", unlike most times, got angry, and took away anything that could give the Nergyl Pleasure.
Nergyl Children - Oddly, not an actual Nergyl. Nergyl children go through their lives until they hit age 13, at such point they have an unfathomable thrist for blood, and simply want to kill. This is the cretors doing, as he didn't reinforce the bonds in the Biridlium Nipto, which holds the humans, Nergyl, and Fallen in place. Because of it, the bonds deteriorated, making a new species indiginous to earth. With their thirst for blood, their first kill is normally a classmate, or a parent. Normally, they kill themselves afterwards. Only the most evil of Nergyl Children can live their eternal lives to the fullest, and it's extremely hard to kill a Nergyl Child (Not the Nergyl child, mind you. The Nergyl Child, which plays a large part in Nergyl Children history, is actually pretty easy to kill, and dies no less than 3 years after he was born into Nergyldom.), as their wings are bullet resistant. Nergyl Children are faster and more witty than Nergyl and humans, but tend to have too much bloodlust (making them go for an easy kill instead of the soldier/person attacking them) or don't have much strength.
Fun Fact/Fact of the Day: A Nergyl child has to kill something at least ONCE a month, otherwise they hyper-age, and die in their tracks. A minute of hyper aging is a years worth of age. When hyper aging, they can tell, because blood starts pouring in their eyes and puberty suddenly takes effect.
Now for a few of my characters, most of which are Nergyl Children:
The Nergyl Child - The Nergyl Child is an odd being, as he is both much stronger, and weaker, than a regular Nergyl Child. He has better control with flight, and his bloodlust, but with his oddly more sanity, his wings can be shot through, unlike most Nergyl Children, and a bullet to the hand could kill him. He tends to make up for this weakness, however, by having the ability for fast running, almost never allowing a shot to hit him.
The Oracle - The Oracle is a Nergyl Child as well, a quite accomplished Nergyl Child. His life he had his bloodlust completely under control, when he then took over a 3rd world country single handed. Then, he ordered a sacrifice to give him a maiden, man, or child to kill once every month, on the 13th. He chose the 13th in a sake of irony, but he was something not of a tyrant. He had fair, and kind rules. Then, one night, he had a terrible vision, visions of the Nergyl, coming to his country, America, France, Indonesia, England, Norway, Canada, and just about everywhere in the world. Large spikes striking the ground to unleash an array of smooth skinned creatures that loved to kill. These were the Nergyl. This is where he had gotten his name as, "The Oracle", and he notified the UN. Sadly, they had not listened, and thought him to be simply insane, or drunk. The Oracle then went on a public rampage, killing over 1 million people. The National guard of America killed him.
Tik Urta - Tik Urta is a kind Nergyl, one of the elders that are not dead, and that had a great legacy of peace behind him. He was always the one bringing people together, and was the first Nergyl Elder. He kept from any wars to happen during the Nergyl Golden Age, and kept order in all of the Nergyl Planet. Sadly, he did not live long, and had died from assassination of the 13th elder, the elder of power. He loved war, and caused the Nergyl to attack the fallen. By technicality, the whole mess was caused by the 13th elder, but he's a different story. Tik Urta is mentioned quite a bit in the Biridlium Nipto, and sadly, Tik Urta passed away not 20 years ago.
