Kinda weird seeing someone getting too psyched out for a video game. I know I am a fan of RE5 but you don't have to be this to much. I mean up until now I still have not bought Sonic and the Black knight.
Well since my Xbox 360 broke they have a special Resident Evil 5 Xbox 360 coming out on the day of release of the game.Resident Evil 5 will be coming with the Xbox for free,so I guess I'm happy its being released.I wish they had made it a bit easier to change weapons, but thats just something to get used to.I never really played a Resident Evil game before but my friends like the series and since its coming with my console I might as well play it.
Any Resi 4 veterans? That game was simply sublime, I hope this lives up to the legacy/hype. I am not 100% sure about the African setting, although it could be a nice change from the American/European settings.

Yeah one of my friends was complaining that it seemed racist that you are a white guy shooting people who are black, but I mainly watched my friends play Resident Evil 4.While it looks like they haven't done much to the fighting system since then, the graphics are definitely better.

Ahh GTA San Andreas could be construed as racist as you are a black guy shooting a bunch of whites. I think it's all hogwash personally, in an African setting, of course the enemies are going to be black. In addition, I did hear there was a bit of media hype about the games purported racism.

I didn't think they would/should change anything with regards to the fighting system. If it ain't broke don't fix it, that's my motto. I'd rather they stuck with a good, established formula than try something new and fail.
I have seen a few screen shots and the graphics definitely look much better, although, last time I played Resi 4 it was on Gamecube so it's not too surprising. It'll hopefully make for a scarier game though.

Yeah it seems people consider so much stuff racism nowadays that it get ridiculous some times.Whats sad is that I have two main friends who play that game, and hang around each other. One is white the other black. Can you guess which one was calling it racist and who was defending it?

hmm I suppose so,though I just wish it was easier to quickly pull out a shotgun and have more then a couple of shots of ammo, but I guess I'm not exactly in the mind set of zombie survival as much as Halo 3 or something.

My friends played it on Game cube as well, which is a bit odd since Game cube had the worst graphics, and a lot of its games were for kids.

Agreed. PC(political correctness) gone mad.

I think going into the briefcase and choosing a weapon and ammo is much more in the tone of the game. It also made it more strategic. Although, I know many die hard FPS fans who were infuriated by this and just wanted to go in guns blazing (excuse the pun) and ended up dead within moments.

Nintendo owned the rights to the game, and so it came out on GC and then the other consoles about a year later. To be fair, considering it was a GC, the graphics were pretty decent.
On the racism bit i think the programmers were just trying to break the mold, I mean how many times have you seen even a single black zombie in any game?
There were black zombies in the other RE games. I know that 2 had some, maybe 3. Can't remember.
I just recall in 2, right when you enter the mansion and go upstairs, shooting a zombies in the knees and going "omgijustshotablackzombieinthekneesisheok."
