My school makes us wear these fugly green and white uniforms that I absolutely hate.The uniforms look like they should belong in a fried chicken fast food establishment.I hate the whole idea and concept of uniforms unless they consist of jeans and a t shirt with a sarcastic phrase or graphic print. Anyone who is forced to wear something as ugly and generic as my school uniform would probably agree. I would post a picture but you never know who lurks around here. *looks around* Anyway do you have to wear a uniform? school or work? or are you one of the lucky ones who get to wear whatever the hell you want to?
sorry if this has already been posted.

I used to have a dress code back when I lived in the ghetto; they were trying to keep kids from dressing like thugs. Basically khaki shorts or pants, with a red or white polo shirt. I hated it.

i hate uniforms their really boring and really ugly and really uncomfortable. at my current school there are no uniforms but i have gone to schools that require uniforms. the schools that usually require uniforms are mostly the elementary schools and private schools. but dont worry once u get to high school or college u can wear whatever u want. u can even go in ur sweats of pg's and no one cares.

i was in an all guys school last year

O come on, it's not all bad! If you were gay you would have loved it there!

But no, my school dosn't have uniforms, though I understand the reasoning behind them. It keeps people from makeing fun of other kids for the way they dress. This way, they all dress the same, so it dosn't matter. Also for parents without alot of money, it makes there kids all even.

We have a dress code, such as your underware must not stick out, meaning they reguarly check, and yell at you if you do. Also, shorts/skirts must go below the finger tips when they are flat against your leg. Just some other weird stuff, and what kind of graphic t's we can wear such as no suggestive things. Which they consider stewie from family guy i na dipar. Figure that out.

No uniforms at my school! As long as you're not wearing "spaghetti straps, low-back tops, tank tops, shorts above the knee, or we sag"(directly from my school planner that I don't use) then we are okay. Happy happy joy joy joy!!!!!

@Fritz_Rublehem

A white top and black skirt I wouldn't mind but I have a green plaid skirt. *cringes*

@Zootsuit_riot
My school banned red and blue just because of all the ghetto stuff.
We had this casual day but it was banned because this egghead came to school in a " I love your vagina" tee.

The closest thing I get to liberty is my hoodies and cardigans. *sigh* I go to a private school but I can't transfer it's my last year.

easy solution if your in the united states you can claim the dress code is violating your civil liberties the people who run your school are censuring your right to free expression its extremely unconstitutional and if you raise a big enough fuss about it you could probably get rid of the uniforms as long as you present a sensible and articulate argument

at my school we couldnt wear.... jeans, shorts, cut off sleaves, anything with a logo bigger than 6 by 2, we had to have a clean shave, our hair could not be past our sholders, and no hats... i hated it but in the society we live in some order should be put into place... the main issue that i had was that certain people would be picked out of a croud even if they were good student because they were "outcast" or what not... i also wore uniforms for sports and that would be a whole different topic

deth.... most of the schools that do have a dress codes are private and are paid for by our parents.... and the public schools that have them may be less strict but usually have them in place because of gangs, racist things, and drugs

I don't live in the states and I'm currently not in my home land n.z where I'm living right now govt. doesn't give a crap about civil rights.

I get the whole point of uniforms but still why can't they make something that looks nice. :/

you have a very valid point meciless... what i would reply to that is that your school has prob had those colors (are they school colors?) for some time and maybe even the same uniform for ever... i would say that they most likey do think that they are nice to them and also you have to think about money... do you pay for the uniforms or are the issued?

I hate uniforms. I must wear a white buttoned shirt, khaki pants and a white undershirt. The uniform is also uncomfortable.

Girls in my school have to wear green plaid skirts. Green is my school's color but I find it odd that all the boys do not wear green.

I attend a private school but even public schools in the Philippines (I am staying here right now) are issued with uniforms.

Gosh, all your unifroms are sooo colourful. Mine is just a white collar shirt, white long pants and a school badge. A tie is needed on Monday. Apart from that some people wear belts, I do. Simple. Plus it isn't hot, my classroom has air-conditioning. Ah! School rox! XD
