I took a long drive yesterday into no where exactly and it got me thinking. The human race has come a long way in means of communication, transportation, clothing, industrialization and so on and so forth. It's fascinating how the human race has evolved through time and how innovative our minds are and can be. All the things we have and will yet achieve through time. I noticed everything about our existence is not primitive anymore compared to our ancestors except for one thing. Emotions and our understanding of it's vital role in our existence. We still haven't answered why love hurts and prevent it from hurting us. We all have answers but they never seem good enough to prevent or stop the pain. We still have ongoing wars trivial or not within the country, families, society or outside. Agree or disagree? Why? What in your opinion is primitive about our civilization. Please don't post about a particular person. Nasty or hurtful comments will not be tolerated.

Nothing is primitive in our society. Emotions are just part of your instincts and your instincts will remain with you forever. Well maybe brutality is primitive, but even the ways of dealing it out are changing. War will always be with us. Even if we stop fighting among ourselves, eventually a new race will emerge from somewhere somehow to do battle of us. And no I haven't been watching too many movies.

Everything has a reason for being around, and sometimes it takes awhile to understand things. It's like when you're born, you don't start speaking right away, it takes time for you to harness the ability of speech. I think it's the same way with why love hurts when you break apart from the one you love.

I think it depends on your view. What I would consider primitive a Swahili warrior would prize. Certain situations can bring out that primitive side in us specifically sports go see Millwall play and you will see what I mean lol. Then again their is the Lizard part of our brain that deals with basic reactions and fight or flight stuff.

really nothings that primitive about our actual advanced society, there are people that live like it's still the olden days, and tribes.

So you're basically stating peace is futile because its within human nature to cause chaos?

yeah there are people who just can't adapt to modern technology.

lol I guess so

That's a universal truth but what I mean is after all these generations shouldn't there be a better way to deal with things especially matters of the heart?

to be honest primitive in my eyes is a hard one to think about... i right away thought about cave men and millions of years ago, but we have primitive right now in this very age we live in...

i would think that primitive now is like people who are farmers or live deep in the country living off the land as much as they can and doing whatever they can to survive... and to be honest i feel that this is the most pure way of living and should be respected rather than looked down at

I completely agree.
My question was directed more attitude wise though like primitive as in barbaric.

ah yes i see... well im glad you agree and maybe i should have put more thought in to what you were saying... i feel that a barbaric attitude would be relating to non educated people mainly. because barbaric to me is related to violence. and if you were to look at the crimes in at least the US(where i live) most crimes are non educated poor people... and that would bring up another subject(Racism) not every person is racist but we all have a part of us that is... i dont want to get to off track but the black poplulation of the US has the highest crime rate and that directly relates to the number of poor black people to white... in theory this would make most white people see black people as barbaric
