As with movies, I'm usually not a far of sequels of video games because the promise of a continuation does not necessarily promise more fun. What it does promise is that the developers want more money. I always hope that a new game will bring new innovation and whatnot, but that doesn't seem to be very consistent come release day *residentevil5cough*.
