French for 'already seen'
I get it all the time.
Can anyone explain why this happens?

I think it's a memory failure were you are remembering things that are happening now. I end up in Deja vu infanite loops some times. It's annoying. God was a crappy programmer

You know that when you are having deja vu and you become aware of that, it doesn't stop for a few more moments. Like you know the sequence of events that are going to happen in the next 3 or 4 seconds. Creepy.
I have deja vu experiences from time to time.

I've had deja vu ALOT. Even when I didn't know about it or know what it means. I mostly get them in dreams, or day dreams. Or just thinking of random stuff and then that suddenly pops up in your mind and then it happens.

There has been some evidence that deja vu is linked to serious abnormalities. Although the concordance rate would have to be much higher than it is for this to be true in all cases.

I never get them in dreams like you fellows. It happens to me when my thoughts are occupied with something and then it just happens. But never while I'm sleeping.

The best theory I have seen is based on the fact that when you observe your surroundings everything goes to short term memory. Then it is either forgotten (or stored as unimportant) or it is stored in your long term memory. Sometimes this goes wrong and the things you percieve around you goes straight to long term memory which makes it feel like you have seen it before. I'm not sure how to explain the "knowing what is about to happen" part of it except you don;t and your mind is just playing a trick on you.

1. I really don't think that people can reverse time.
2. Have you people heard the term 'History repeats itself'? Well it does. And much more often some think. People go to school or work every day. I get it a lot in school, and I had these dreams a long time ago.
