I would say LP without doubts, I've never heard about NiN, but many people have heard about LP.
That has no meaning at all, in fact, most popular music sucks and most good music isn't well known. Neither of the two bands score over a 4/10 for me, so i'm gonna say: They both suck.

yah there is alot of indie music that is very good much better then some of the crap thats comin out of the wood work but that dosent mean all popular music sucks
I would have to go with LP, NIN gets old quick, and I cannot honestly say that there is enough instrumentation in any of their songs to appeal to my music craving
