DEFINETLY WORLD OF WARCRAFT! I LOVE WORLD OF WARCRAFT!
I love the acheivements they put in, even if most of them don't do anything, they have points that you can show off (like xbox gamer points) and some have rewards. I got my Black War Bear off of an acheivement.
I have accounts on both RuneScape and WoW, and I LOVE them. RuneScape is nice because you can play for free and still do quite a bit of stuff even when you aren't a member. Also having over 20 skills to level up is a major plus.
World of Warcraft is a very fun game, but you need to have a near perfect computer and internet connection to play it without lag (which isn't much of a problem for me, but for others it is). Also, having over 700 different quests and 4 continents to explore is pretty remarkable for any game.
Runescape has bad graphics, is easily hacked, (I quit due to that) over protective, (They took away the best feature in the game because people were buying in-game money for real money from farmers, why not sell it yourself?) only has half the features as WoW, doesn't have any type of PvP, (Player verses Player) (Except for one or two mini-games.). Wow has lots of PvP awesome graphics, two factions, proffesions, real classes, and a simpler leveling system.
I'm gonna assume that shadow phoenix hasn't played in a while as the reason for the gold farming was that there was too much money in the game because of said gold farming, as for hacking there is no game out there that is impervious to hacking. But i have to agree that some of the features WoW has are better while Runescape is also holding it's own considering the fact that is completely BROWSER BASED unlike WoW.
Another one of theses threads... Well WoW is much better. period. The graphics are far superior, the world is MASSIVE, the player interaction is much better. As for money, just google WoW private servers, they're free.
