Can we have a place to submit pictures for avatars for users, I don't mean choose our own avatars, I mean out of all the ones submitted in a thread moderators can, but aren't obligated, to choose ones they like from the community and let users use it
why wouldnt it work? every so often there are holiday armatar competitions, and some get chosen and open for use by every user on AG. with a more general thread then maybe some ideas could be taken, developed, and made into a new, refreshing series of armatars ;D good luck with this, hope it doesnt get shot down, i really like the idea!
Hm, you may wish to wait until site optimisation is finished before pitching this idea, as currently we aren't in a position to do anything much with the armatars beyond the current process.
And yes, site optimisation is progressing well- major fixes to the infrastructure and performance have been made so things will be moving along soon!
