I don't make Rps very often, but lately I've been in the mood for a traditional RP. Like the ones I used to write in before I even joined this site; about fantasy characters that live in a traditionally medieval-like kingdom where the good that prevailed for so long is now threatened by the evil that's typically embodied in a malevolent demon, neighboring lord or dark powerful wizard. A group of unlikely heroes often appearing from the lower layers of society stand up to this evil and will eventually, after lots of traveling, many struggles, losing and gaining allies, perhaps even betrayal and even the solving of a mysterious riddle or two, face their true enemy in a climactic fight that will free their beloved kingdom at last or cast an eternal shadow over their lands in which all is lost forever.


This one will be just like that!

In this RP, I already laid out a map, a storyline, four continents and a number of races as well as a few major characters. Within this world, you are free to create your own character! You are welcome to create your own race as well, although that means you'll have to give me a description of the race so I can add it to the races list. I'll only disallow it if this race is in no way fitting to the world and/or storyline.
You're also free to create your own city or town if you'd like, and if you let me know where it is I'll even put it on the map! I have a certain storyline in my head, but it's very open to changes and new suggestions, so if you have an idea in your head, run it by me and I'll make sure it all works out.
Anyway.


First a few rules, or perhaps just requests.

1. Please be reasonable with your characters abilities. If you want to be a great swordsman, that's fine. Just don't make him also extremely skilled at using bow and arrow, the wielding of an axe, a magnificent healer and oh, let's not forget he is the best horseback rider in the world! And he's the only human to have magical powers, that are of course Dark. But he's good really!
...You know what I mean.

2. I don't expect you to be flawless, but at least try. With which I simply mean you should use your spell check, use proper punctuation, and read all previous posts thoroughly before writing your own.

3. (Nearly) All races are allowed. But do make sure it's fitting and don't go too crazy. As long as we don't get stuck with only 6 legged flying turtle-men, I'm happy. Oh, but you can't be a demon.

4. The story is as freestyle as you want it to be. While I have a general storyline in my head, it's much open for drastic changes, whole new plots and characters and whatnot. Feel free to add your own thing! (but if it IS pretty big, I'd appreciate a PM first )

Oh yes, and this will be in Traditional Fantasy, so no need to have mature access. I don't think we need particular extreme amounts of gore or sex in this type of story.

And now for the story information!

This is a very very short summary of the story background, just to give you an idea of what is going on.

The storyline:

The story takes place in a world named Zephiria. It consists of four continents. The eastern and western continent (Fanthoma and Alundria) are populated by elves, humans, dwarves and plenty of other races. For centuries they lived together in relative peace, until one day the south of Fanthoma is invaded by a mysterious army of dark soldiers. Before the military has the chance to send its reinforcements south, the black warriors disappear again, leaving a trail of destruction and blackened earth. The towns in the invaded area have been obliterated, with no survivors to tell what had happened.
Logically, it was suspected that this threat came from the Southern continent Zidenik, a continent half covered with lifeless wasteground, while its other half has never recovered from being burnt down completely. To everyones knowledge though, it had always been lifeless and empty, and had been forgotten and neglected for a long time.

As scouts are sent down to investigate, they make a devastating discovery: where once was nothing but planes of dust and rock, now a massive, black fortress had emerged, surrounded by a thick wall guarded by the shadows of immense creatures. Terrified, they return to the castle of the High King, where the leader has to come up with a plan of action. But while the world is in a state of anxiety, the king's youngest daughter, Princess Iris is kidnapped by assumable the same threat that attacked their lands.
No one knows how this is possible, but the king instantly sends forces to recover his beloved child. Unfortunately, they are met with an army on the shores of Zidenik that they fail to even set foot on the continent.

Meanwhile, the oldest daughter, and also Iris' best friend, is determined to save her sister, and devises a plan; if a large number of soldiers can't save her sister with mere strength, then maybe a small group of people can cross the borders unseen.
Also, and this is rather important, her sister once told her of the Guardian of Zephiria, who can only by summoned those of royal blood.
It requires a number of tasks to be fulfilled, and somewhere near a small town named Sinegi a hermit camps at the riverside, who should be able to tell her more. But first, she'll have to find allies to join her. And either convince her parents to let her go or escape the castle without being seen.

So what I need first and foremost is for someone to play the oldest Princess. She'll have to gather a few friends/allies to join her before setting out to Sinegi. Of course people will have to play these allies, though you can be any character in the world as long as you manage to somehow tie yourself in with the rest of the story. (if no one want to, I WILL play her myself, I just don't have any special interest in doing so, as I also have the characters below to control).
You can, if you really want to, be an evil character, but that probably means you will play as one stalking the group at first, or infiltrating their group feigning to be an ally. Or something more creative!


The characters you can't play are the youngest princess Iris, the dark lord and his Advisor, or the king and queen of Fanthoma.
