Hey, anyone else got Red Rings of Death on their Xbox? Well here's how mine happened. I turned it on and it had it, I tried to turn it off but the power button wouldn't turn it off. So i unplugged it and played for about 6 weeks until i had red rings but this time i had it on the 2 left quadrants instead of the top right and bottom 2. I cooled it down for 4-5 days and played. I played R6V2 for about 45 minutes when it had the two on the left again (it means overheated.). Now i don't want to spend money on Microsoft repairing it. However all my local stores said they don't sell the RRoD repair guide anymore due to something with Microsoft. Anyone have any suggestions?

OK, first off, make sure that you're Xbox hard drive is always COMPLETELY in the console, and not in partway. (this happened to me) This is easier when the system is placed vertically. However, if the game is overheating, I would moderate your playing. Play for only 30 minutes a day, then gradually increase the time playing. If you get hte rings, Go find a good book to read and wait a while if its 2 quadrants. Three quadrants means the graphic's chip is out, and....you're f*cked. If it is 2 quadrants, i reccommend reading the twilight saga, very good, very very good, even if you're a dude.
