What's up with them? Why can't you choose their abilities, or even choose their ability pools so you can get the most out of them. (Give Veradux all healing skills/Roald all attacking) Etc etc.
And I was making a new Psycho, I was on 2nd stage and thought... (During the battle where you get Roald) The battle is with Roald and someone called Insurgent who did poison damage on me. Now my Bio (I completed it on bio) I use poison on my bio, it rules, I thought to myself. Why not get Insurgent aswell as Roald and choose (By Shift + Clicking) from either Roald or Insurgent or Veradux. (Getting Veradux, Roald and Insurgent as teammates) What's so special about Roald.
Veradux: He's OK, but a lot worse than the first game. In the first, he had a poison attack, Re-energize, Electro-Bolt, and a heal, oh, and a normal attack. But now, He only has Heal, Electro-Bolt, and an attack that helps him gain Focus. In the beginning of Sonny 2, he's really good, he deals a lot of damage, heals a lot of health, etc. But his growth curve can't compete with your enemy's, so, in the end you're forced to only have him heal, which won't bee useful since the amount he heals doesn't go up fast at all.
Roald: A total disappointment; First of all, when i get him, he deals like 200+ damage while Sonny deals around 1000-3000 (not hacking) the only time he IS useful is when he uses Greater Purpose and then Veradux heals you (not to mention that's the only Veradux will be helpful). Also, if SOMEHOW his fire attack actually Shell Shocks someone (don't count on it). Impairing your foe is pointless, you won't notice a difference. Silencing may come in handy sometimes, but you never know when he will use it. He is even worse than Veradux if you compare their stats.
Felicity: Could possibly be worse than Roald. When she joins you, they took away all her good moves!! While battling her, she can use Black Metal, Blade Dance, Shadow Blend, Serious Business, Knife, and an attack. When she joins you, she can use Blade Dance, Planned Assault, Knife, Silence, an attack, and Black Metal was replaced by Slash. Blade dance is just terrible, Android Guards can break it, and once it's broken your defense goes down. Planned Assault is Like Decimate or Wound it's OK, but she rarely uses it. Knife is pretty much in there just for laughs, 50% speed is useful if you're fighting huge hp guys like the Colonel. She basically is a Replacement for Roald so they gave her Silence (see above). Slash is basically a horrible version of Black Metal (BM reduces healing by 95% and Slash reduces heal by 10%). And don't even get me started on her stats. The first battle she was in, she died before she got a chance to attack! I had to give her android equipment to keep her alive.
Now don't get me wrong I love this game (10/10), but geez, the teammates are just awful.
No - Your a unique person, those guys aren't - Roald is just an insurgent - That's it, Veraduax is an unknown normal zombie, and so is felicity as far as we know - You are unique somehow...
It means your a one-of-a-kind.... You're more powerful, tougher, well let's face it (the lines of a song this is) - Bigger better faster stronger, exept bigger isn't better lol
I liked Veradux better in the first one, I gave him all the paladin's armor so his poison piercing was more than maxed, then hoped to god that he would use his poison spell. I prefer that over the one we have in Sonny 2. Do you like them better because you can control them better?
TEamates suck xD they dont deal 1k till the latter part BUT the good thing is, now, you can control them the agressiveness that is ^_^ thats better than nothing :P
first of all, you are not to rely on your allies to do damage, you are the damage dealer just because your skills level up with you.
I think that all of the allies have their uses in different situations. Let's say Roald, when his shell does a shock, this is 2 turns of someone to sleep entirely, and if you make him target the enemy healer, you have time to dispatch either him or the main damager, without big trouble. Roald is also the toughest ally of yours, and is a perfect damage absorber which might not be healed for several turns, depending on the situation. Say Veradux, he doesn't just have a good heal if you dress him in instinct stuff, he also has a debuff, sometimes you are deep into an offensive combo and its disrupting will cost you dearly, you send him into relentless from phalanx or defensive, and there's a BIG probability (though it's not a constant situation) that he will throw an electrobolt at the buffed up enemy. Felicity is mostly less useful than the other two, after all she doesn't have any of the defencive abilities worth casting on Sonny. But she has Break in her arsenal, and her focus-draining Knife is sometimes nice to see on some troublesome opponent.
