It really is true, I'm here to spread the PLASTIC BAG AWARENESS towards my fellow AGers. Zophia showed me this link through a lovely program called "Stumble" which pops random (PG) sites onto the page, and Zophia came upon THIS.
Now, if you care about our earth, not just nations but our EARTH as much as I do, you'll spread the word, and hopefully use a cloth bag, or at least a paper one, which can be harmlessly burned in your fireplace. I had never known how extreme this was, and just how much wildlife and natural beauty it destroyed.
Please, spread the word, use cloth or paper today.
Also, what does your paranoia have to do with this...?
My paranoia has alot to do with it. I'm paranoid against any thing I don't like. I for some reason think their plotting against the whole of humanity, including myself.
Maaaybe you should seek out a psychiatrist? Last time I checked, real paranoia was considered a mental disorder. Then again, a lot of things are... Meh. *plots against the whole of humanity*
I'm glad to see plastic bags are on the way out. I think Carrefour banned them a few years ago and shops in the UK are doing it now (finally). Shops have started charging for bags near me as well.
I don't realy agree with 'saving the earth by going to the grocery store' You're just not doing as bad as you could have by using these bags XD so don't praise someone too much for using paper bags, I'm sure they're all just really happy about it all the time anyways XD
Yeah, I'm sure your not "saving" it exactly, but you're doing your part in preserving it by just a simple choice.

Actually the bag type suggested was cloth. Much more durable than paper (and in my experience most plastic too), and requires less resources to create.
You're not saving the Earth. You're attempting to ease your part of the resource waste that goes on. It won't save the Earth if it's just you who does it, but if a few million actually bother, it can lighten the resource strain quite a bit...
Plastic bags can be very very useful. It's just a shame they're made out of what they're made of.
