The "would be" attacker is dumb enough to share his murderous intentions with strangers on NG? That is retarded. Good thing there was a person who took the threat seriously and actually called the police. I doubt that other people would take the threat seriously. Thank goodness something horrible like that has been averted.

Statements warning of violence should be taken seriously as they can be identifiably a cry for help (which really is a euphemism of "signal of impending disaster&quot. I further believe that such things should always be reported to a federal body ASAP as this will likely reduce the casualties from such events as school massacres.
