This thread, will be a way to promote your merit-worthy comments, to us all...

Some of you might say: 'Shouldn't this be in the Flash Games section?'
well you are probably right, but this is a little less involved with games, and a little more involved in help.

Also, if you have any issues with writing merits, you can give it a shot, and ask for feedback. Experienced, but not quite right? Get your feedback here!

To all mods, this is not something that you have to look at, to see the comments, this was designed for people to say 'Hey, have a look at this comment. Do you like it?' and 'Could you tell me what I need to improve on?'

Two: NEVER state the section you are judging. Mods don't like comments that are;

Music: etc

Gameplay: W/e

Controls:

Graphics:

I just think iit makes the message look less professional....

What is wrong with that? I followed my own rating system to organize the post and I have 5 merits. So why would the mods hate it?

Not hate, mods look for intelligent comments with good grammar, great pointers for improvement, sensible ratings or comparisons and flowing comments. Stating each section kinda stops the flow...

Agreed. Besides my cousin who use to be here in AG told me that reviews don't need to be biiiiiiiig.

As long as they Describe every important detail about the game, they are good to get a merit.

Pazx I do the section thing as well. Unless you get written proof from a mod, posted here, I will not believe you.

Though I have to say, that it is possible to fulfill what you have stated while stating each section of gameplay.

This is old review for Globtrotter XL. It has received a merit and to prove my point, I am posting it here.

Graphics - Not much to say about this aspect of the game. Good and nicely put together. 8/10.

Sound and Music - Sounds are somewhat typical of games. The music though, is rather satisfying. 7.5/10.

Gameplay - I applaud the concept of this game but the game needs more refinement. You need a save feature in order to at least accomplish something in the game. I reached Level 6 and I did not want to start from the beginning. Also there should be game options to choose from. Difficulty levels and a choice to play in specific regions are better features I can think of but there could be many more features which can make the game more enjoyable. Also the spelling of some places seem confusing such as, Afrika, Ha Noi instead of Hanoi, etc. The final blow I can deal to this game is the fact that there is no choice of difficulty and that this game it too hard for most of us. 4/10 Bad

Replay Value -

The lack of save features and the utterly hopeless difficulty level makes this game boring to replay. 4/10 Bad.

Pros -

Good graphics
Good music

Cons -

Too difficult.
Lack of replay value.
No save features.
Bad gameplay.

Final Score - 6/10 Good concept yet unrefined and rough.

Here's my review of The Last Stand 2.
----------------
Game Play: In The Last Stand 2, you're playing as a bearded mystery man who has survived a zombie apocalypse. You stand behind a barrier and shoot the oncoming zombies with the various guns you've accrued. You get these guns by searching during the day, through a well-organized layout of the city. Then, at nightfall, you must defend yourself from the various zombies charging at you.
The gunplay is pretty refined, with a good range of weapons to choose from; there seems to be a slight imbalance in the ratio of assault rifles towards other weapons, however. The inclusion of weapons like the compound bow and the chainsaw add some variety to partially compensate for this, however. The variety of zombies adds spice to the gameplay, with armored zombies and running zombies, along with fat zombies that have more health. (I noticed an abundance of these in the larger cities, which is an interesting poke at modern day society.)
You must reach the final city, Union City, within forty days for the "best" ending for your mysterious protagonist, setting a goal for the player and giving the game a purpose. As a consolation, however, you will not receive a "game over" message if you fail at that goal; lending an effective "free play" mode to the game. Along with this game's addictive core mechanic, it makes for a wonderfully put-together flash game on the gameplay front. Gameplay: 9.8/10
Music: Music is somewhat of a nuance in this game, because it never puts itself up front, yet accentuates the overall mood of the game quite well. The growls of the zombies also adds to their creepiness. While it is lacking in variety, the music really adds to the atmosphere of the game. Music: 9.5/10
Controls: The standard aim-with-the-mouse, WASD movement fits this game well. Your character moves at a desirable speed, the aiming is fluent and responsive, and the proximity of the "reload" key to the movement key makes reloading much less of a hassle. Controls: 10/10
Graphics: The graphics in this game show a great level of attention-to-detail. There are a good deal of variety in the models of the zombies, and the opening sequence shows fantastic animation. The graphical nuances are many; I've noticed good attention-to-detail on some of the gun models and the blood, especially. My only complaint is that in a good deal of the automatic weapons, the animation of the flash after firing a bullet is out-of-sync with the audio. The graphics in this game have great attention-to-detail and style, with only a few flaws. Graphics: 9.5/10
Difficulty: The difficulty is rather uneven. At first, the game is very easy, but then difficulty shoots up significantly at Aspenwood. While Aspenwood has the lowest population of any city in the game, it has some of the most zombies, which makes no sense. Jonestown is very hard, but it is balanced out by the fact that there are many weapons in Jonestown that can aid you a great deal. I somewhat disdain the difficulty of this game, because it doesn't ease the player into the action sufficiently.
Another small problem is that once you lose one night, it is possible that you will be completely stuck at that spot. Since you can't go back to the start of the day to re-allocate your hours, you may end up continuing to fail to get through the same situation each time. The survivors ease this somewhat, but if one is killed by a zombie with a weapon and you end up losing and restarting before that night, you will not get that survivor back. The difficulty is somewhat imbalanced and there isn't enough easing for the player. Difficulty: 6/10
Tips: Some of the weapons that you get early on in the game, like the chainsaw, can be very helpful. Also, make sure to use your traps!! They can mean the difference of life and death in some situations.
Aim for the runners and weapon zombies first. The runners are very dangerous because of their speed, and the weapon zombies can kill precious survivors!
Survivors don't fire as much as you do, so take advantage of this by giving them automatic weapons like the Uzi. It has a very high fire rate, so you can optimize the usefulness of your survivors.
Always keep a powerful weapon like the chainsaw or RPG-7 on hand as a backup to get out of sticky situations! My chainsaw has saved my life many times when my barrier was broken down.
Lastly, think about how to allocate your hours. Don't spend too much time fussing over your barrier, because survivors and new weapons can make just as big of an impact on your survival!
Good/Bad Points: The best part of this game is definitely the thrill of fending off a vicious zombie attack in a more difficult city like Jonestown if you're properly equipped. This game can really keep you on the edge of your seat at times, and you won't want to sit back!
The only real bad point of the game is the difficulty. There isn't any real easing of the difficulty, which can lead to some frustration. But at the same time, once you finally get acclimated, you can really enjoy this game to it's fullest.
Overall: The Last Stand 2 is a very well-made flash game. The core mechanic is polished and extremely riveting, the graphics are exquisite, and there are a plethora of guns to use. There are a few things that mar the experience, but if you can overcome these occasional scratches, The Last Stand 2 is a radiant gem of a game. Overall: 9.6/10

This is my review of Chaos Faction. Chaos Faction Comments

Here is a revised edition of my old review.

Chaos Faction -

Chaos Facton is an action fighting game created by the brilliant developers at Dissolute Productions. I can guarantee that if it doesn't blow you away, it will keep you amused.

Let's get down to business!

---SOUND---

I believe that sound effects and music are essential parts of gameplay. So, when I say that Chaos Faction has awesome sound effects, I mean it. There is a specific sound effect for nearly everything in the game. From the weapon noises, to the sound of the characters jumping even the sound of the darn wind! About the music, I must that I am impressed. The game has an array of soundtracks, well suited to gameplay style. Awesome! Therefore I am giving sound a 9.5/10

9.5/10

---GRAPHICS---

The visuals are well drawn and have been made with skill. Even if the graphics are not immensely stunning, they are still awesome. The objects and characters look cool. The scenery and background is superb! Not more is needed to be said. I found graphics style of the characters to be funny.

9/10

---Gameplay---

Chaos Faction's strong point is it's Gameplay.

Controls -

The controls are intuitive and easy to remember. Only three keys aside from the cursor keys are needed. In this category, simpler is better. Excellent, responsive controls are found within this game.

Difficulty -

I found this to be a slight weak point. Even playing against supposedly difficult enemies at the "hard" difficulty setting was somewhat easy in some situations. I would suggest making the AI slightly smarter. The AI is still great though. Though I must say that the game is easy to learn but harder to master.

Gameplay -

The gameplay is simple. Destroy your enemies until a preset goal is reached. The game has a devastating array of unique, wacky and powerful weapons. In all there are 29 of them. Each is different from the other and comes with advantages and disadvantages. There are also 18 characters which can be customized. Through customization, there are 72 unique (albeit odd looking) characters that can be created. There are also 15 levels which are each different and require different gameplay strategies. In one level, missiles rain down and kill anyone unlucky enough to be in harm's way. In another, the wind threatens force you off the clouds. These "special effects" are really nice things about this game. The powerups are also neat. A few of them are - Invincibility, Speed Boost, High Jump

There are 3 gameplay modes.

Campaign - This is where you unlock extra content. You must finish this mode to enjoy the game to it's fullest.

Deathmatch - The game's shining gem. You can choose your character, play in free for all or team deathmatch, adjust crate drop frequency for powerups and you can select whether you want to fight a timed battle, with a kill limit or with a number of lives. Truly awesome!

Survival - You must survive. There is not much to say aside from this.

Present is a level editor where you can create your own levels. The features though are limited and you cannot share you map online.

9.5/10

---Replay Value---

The game as I have noted, has a ton of features, skirmish mode and a level editor. I am giving it a 9/10 here.

9/10

Pros -

Everything except for what is listed in cons

Cons -

AI is weak sometimes.
Level Editor needs to have more features.

Final Word -

This game is awesome! Play it now if you have not. Download it so you can enjoy it offline!

9.5/10!
