As you might (not) have heard, as of today, the sales tax in the state of California has gone up to 8.25%. This might not sound like much, but this is just the next straw that is finally breaking the camel's back.
Including local taxes, living in Los Angeles makes me one of the most taxed states in the country!!! You'd have to go to Europe, where they participate in open socialism, to find higher taxes.
And we've been putting up with it for far too long.
If you're a smoker, your taxes are over $1/pack now. If you have kids, your deductions are going down another $200/child.
And that's not the half of it. Just in the past six months, they've raised the income tax, the gas tax, the alcohol tax, the car tax, the sales tax, the child tax credit, property taxes, and many more, just to pay for the bloated bureaucracy in Sacramento.
With the plummet in housing prices, the house of cards finally fell. The state is $40 BILLION in debt, and it seems the only way to remedy the problem (according to the Liberal ninnies in Sacramento) is by raising taxes when we already have the highest tax burden in the country!!!
And when more money comes in, guess what they do? THEY SPEND EVEN MORE MONEY!!!
And I say enough is enough. WE shouldn't just sit on the sidelines and just put up with what we've got. We have to end this vicious cycle going on in Sacramento, and it has to happen now, before it gets any worse.
And please don't give me the excuse, "But don't you have a Republican governor?" Arnold Schwarzenegger dropped his pants for the teacher's union years ago. He's a RINO and a sellout. He's just a puppet for the Democrats in the legislature who are really running the show.
Amen! Sales tax in Arizona is someting like 9.25% or so, which is worse but overall tax you got the worst, which sucks, I'm glad I'm moving to Texas, which is ared state, you know the rest.
California as a whole is in a bad hole right now. They don't have any intelligent democrats helping, no intelligent republicans, (Schwartzen00ber is not intelligent) and a bad time for a tax raise or a bailout. They're screwed! Very lulzy rant, by the way.
Well, because the County of Los Angeles is also in financial trouble, on June 1st, my sales tax will go up to 9.75%. And I'm glad I don't live in the City of Los Angeles, because Mayor Villagairosa is running the second largest city in the country into the ground.
In fact, the most memorable quote from Antonio Villagairoa came a few years ago when he appeared at an illegal alien rally:
"We clean your toilets!!!"
Notice the use of the word "we". "I" is a part of "we".
