It is great a wide variety of things and a useful resource. We go on it all the time at school. (not the students the teachers- especially physics they just love Top Gear I'm afraid + it "helps" us to learn))
YouTube is useful and awesome. The wide variety of videos, like Pixie said is helpful to all people. Though some content may be unsuitable for children.
