Ahh, I love older games. My NES still works and I get it out and play with it from time to time. I also love to download old games for the Wii and 'go back.' I still remember the cheat code for 30 lives on Contra!
Remember when the graphics for some old games were just sooooo cool? I'm often struck by that.
To destroyerkevin (he was the first person to comment on this), a relative of mine LOVES pacman, and my mom loves galaga. I don't think that EVERYONE is forgetting the good ole classics, I just think that everyone who would be interested in it hasn't just been like, oh hey, and old school game, I'm gonna go and love it. Also, even if a game is awesome, some people just have a negative feeling towards classics.
Sadly some classic games havent aged very well over time. But not all hope is gone many of them are getting re-released as downloadable games for the 360,PS3, and the Wii. Not to mention complimation package games.
Mike Tyson's Punch-out was an awesome game, my brothers and I would play it day after day trying to get all the way up to Mike Tyson himself. Sadly the time we actually reached Tyson we got whooped.
I love pacman but i like that one game where you are a space ship and you shoot enemies...TETRIS!!
No, you're thinking of Space Invaders. Or possibly Asteroids. I don't know; there are so many games "where you are a space ship and you shoot enemies" from that era, but Tetris is not one of them.
There are a lot of classic game, and I think the graphics has no matter in good games. I know it's good when a game have good graphics, but look at the old GTA series: I think Vice city was the best of them. And Mario. Everybody knows that game! It's epic. I think new games not that enjoyable as old epic games.
