I've been hiccuping for 2 days straight (Monday morning till now) and it is very disturbing. I haven't been able to sleep much either. Please help me get rid of the hiccups!

Repeated swallowing works for mild cases. Do this by holding your breath and repeatedly swallowing as fast as you can, or by slowly drinking down a beverage with as many swallows as is possible. It's important that you hold your breath for as many gulps as you can

Well, I can't really hold my breath for 3 seconds. It's hard. Thanks for the help, I'll test it.

Relax, sit still and breathe in deep, slow, rhythmic breaths expanding and contracting your lungs completely.

Coughing on purpose makes my brain go numb.

Relax, sit still and breathe in deep, slow, rhythmic breaths expanding and contracting your lungs completely.
Okay, I'll try....

Swallow while you hiccup. It feels increbibly uncomfortable, but it might help.

Get scared

I rather not...

Focus on anything else besides the hiccups.

That is quite hard. If you want to forget about hiccuping then you focus on forgetting about hiccups, and so you focus about the hiccups.

Swallow while you hiccup. It feels increbibly uncomfortable, but it might help.
I tried it, but as always it didn't work.

Thanks for all the help guys... But hiccuping is still causing me trouble.
