Sega has really destroyed the Sonic series. I think they only thing they have left to do is allow him an appearance in a SSB game, where game characters go when they're done making good games. ...OH WAIT! Hey nubs, seriously. The only Sonic characters that we acknowledge are: Sonic, Miles (AKA Tails), and Knuckles. Metalsonic exists only as a boss to kill in the death egg. The bad guy at the end of every level is named Dr. Robotnik. For God's sake, he has a game named after him! The name of this game? Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. That game was fun, too. Sega Genesis had good Sonic games. Knuckles Chaotix was alright, and the additional characters are acceptable because it's not a Sonic game (it's a spin-off).
But Eggman is his nickname, Isn't it quite clear? I really enjoyed playing Sonic: Unleashed, even though I've never finished it :< I don't really know any old Sega games...
Actually no hes the same person Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik i prefered when he was called robotnik but we all can't get what we want but i also recognize Amy Rose as another that belongs because i have a game thats like the old ones that has Amy Rose as a playable but yea he should still be called Dr Robotnik
