Well, women are really important in the world. They help any species go on and most importantly go through childbirth. We should appreciate what women have done, treat them as equals, and thank them for not keeping a huge grudge against men for how we treated them in the past. (Well most women I guess I should say. There might be some women who hold a grudge about that, but I don't know any)

In that one sentece, you have pretty much summed up everything everyone has been trying to say.
I do belive women should have equal rights as men do, however that would mean that they qualify for everything men do too. For example, women were not picked for the draft during the Vietnam war. It is highly unlikely that a draft would start up again, but if women want the same rights as men (which they deserve) then they should be picked for the draft too if such a thing should happen again. Bottom line- alot of women want equal rights (which alot of them do to a certin extent), but they would only want the good benifits. For example, a women would want the right to vote, but they wouldn't want to be picked for the draft. I think that if women get 100% equall rights, then they should have to be subject to the same things men are. I just used the draft as an example.
