I have recently started to do (what I think is) basic freerunning. That pretty much means jumping up and down stairs running and kicking off walls jumping over stuff and up ledges. Anyone else do free running? If so anyone have any tips?

Wait up, rolling isn't flipping. Just so you know!

I've had a couple of unfortunate accidents myself. Bollards are wonderful for precision hops, but check that they're sturdy in the first place!

I tried it and kinda broke a few bones in my body. I learned my lesson.

I pulled both my legs the other day playing horse but doing freerunning with 2 friends. One person calls and sets a trick then the others follow. I set the trick about a 4 foot drop running and landed like in a percision and pulled them both. I highly recommend playing horse with free running.

Strop: Backward rolls? Ha, can't really see the utility of that either. If you want to change direction then practicing your rapid turn-arounds is much more useful.

As for rolls, I can say that they are very useful for breaking large falls. Excellent for a quick jump-off after climbing a tall fence, provided the ground is not very rough.
