It's that time again! Spring is a great season full of inspiration, which we are hoping will help you make some great armatars. Now I know that it isn't spring everywhere right now, but it is for the AG office. So how this works is that you can submit your own original armatars to this thread following the theme of Spring. If I like it, I will add it to the 0AP armatar section for all members to use! You can reference previous contests for a better idea of what this is all about here.
Keep in mind that there are some guidelines, and unless your entry follows these set of rules it will not be accepted. So be sure to check those out.
GUIDELINES: 1. Must be appropriate. Cannot be offensive or profane in nature. Try to keep it clean! 2. The entry must be square, and at least 100x100 pixels in dimension. 3. Must scale down well to 100x100. So if it is larger, make sure that it will still look good when it is scaled down to armatar size. A few suggestions about this: - Sometimes simple is better. If you go into a lot of detail, it might not look as great when you scale it down. So just keep in mind what the final size will be. - If you are able to do vector, that can help with the sharpness of the image. However, since they are so small this probably isn't a big issue. 4. Must be completely original. You cannot use elements from other piece of artwork, the entire armatar must be 100% original. 5. Must be spring themed.

Adobe Photoshop. The newest version (CS4) runs at about 700 dollars if I remember right. CS3 should be down to like...200 or so.
Pirate Bay anyone? Not advertising or condoning it, as I don't use it myself, but due to the monopoly these companies have on the products the prices they charge for them are simply ridiculous. I'd download it illegally just to spite them if I could be bothered.
Aside from the illegal aspect, I wouldn't advise that.
Most of the Photoshop torrents found online are riddled with viruses. It's actually,from what I've heard, Adobe's doing. Flood the market with diseased copies from several sources, have people download it, get a virus and decide to get real copy.
It's underhanded, cunning, sneaky and genius. But mean. XD
Hehe, I have so much expansive software that I never use :/ I got really lucky because my father is a real mac addict and he has tons of software sitting on his computer. I usually get everything I need from him, then I just have to pay for licensing. I also used to have Serialbox, but that was on my OS9 computer back in college. It's horribly out of date, and illegal -.-
But yeah, I have PS, Illustrator, Indesign, the whole Microsoft Suite, Final Cut, DVD Studio Pro, a bunch of Macromedia programs (Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Freehand), and Toast. It's pretty awesome

Jrmagic (and thanks for using my armatar by the way) that looks pretty good, it's just there's no background, so it just looks like a random tree branch. :/
Though, maybe that's what you were going for. :P
I have another idea for an armatar, but I'm not giving up on Spring Sword v2.1...
