I am going to save you 30$. No kidding. Heavenly Guardian-Don't buy it. Don't. Buy. It. I'm going to make a couple of comments from statements off the back off the game package.
Beautiful hand drawn graphics=Good job with them(not sarcastic)
Each level has multiple paths that lead to secret loacations, powerups, and items, giving players unique experience and exteneded replay ability="Extended replay ability" yeah right. after beating the first half of the game you have beat it AGAIN(You got the wrong items- its a storyline thing). Nothing has changed. Not even difficulty. Each level takes about 40 mins and there are 9 levels in each half. Thats about 6.5 hours. And guess what- YOU CAN'T SAVE YOUR GAME!!!! So basically your screwed. Unless you want to play a game about 6.5 hours straight, which I was planning to do but then I found out I had to do the same 9 levels twice.
Co-Op play-Share the adventure with a friend as you tak;e monsters and larger-than-life bosses.=You half to beat the game to even play Co-Op. Plus Co-Op is basically a story mode with two people. You would have to have a REALLY big attention span to want to play it 3 TIMES(two in story mode, one in Co-Op).
Take aim in total 360 control as you blast enemies from all angles.=TOTAL 360 CONTROl!?! WTF OMG.... If you've ever played A Link to the Past or The Four Swords... Thats the kind of map view they have. Either their stupid, or they like propaganda. That's not 360...
Now, on to just plain comments. The powerups weren't very original... 3 way, fast, homing, and bomb(Basically just a big bullet). They could have mad a run faster powerup or something. On the good side there is a lot of enemy vierity(SP?). There's only one level where you can interact with the envirenment and that's only slightly. It also uses lives, when it runs out you have to start over, theres a score system that doesn't do anything, and that stuff gave it an arcade feel. And everyone reading this knows how crappy a game that is a arcade game transported to the Wii(That's the system I had). Which brings me to systems. On the PS, you have to shoot where you're facing. On the Wii, you can aim at the screen but there will be a bar at the edge of the screen that is really annyoing and makes it harder to see. Also When you do the Blizzard thing you're supposed to be able to control the direction by fliking the Wiimote in that direction... well it doesn't work. Also the storyline is wierd and doesn't provide details. You're finding a cure for a boy and these ghosts don't want you to find it and they don't even tell you why. It also seemed childish almsot like the company that made it was trying to bring the ESRB content rating down when it isn't even violent. The good parts of the game are the graphics. And thats it. So, go and waste your 30$ on this. Just don't say I didn't warn you.
In conclusion, please post any additional comments about this thread and about the game. I also think I missed something in the good parts off the game...
I rated it a 1.5/10
