No matter how much you hate people dieing in pointless wars, preventable causes, murder, or greed, you have to admit that each death gives your future generations a better chance to thrive on this planet.
Unless we set up colonies on another planet, that is.

I don't agree fully. You see, those lives lost may have the talent or are the key to our future.
I think sides have a point. Obviously many potentially great people may have been killed before there times. However I like the Darwin Awards approach that sometimes the gene pool is best of without some people.
To quote Bill Hicks here:
"Same LSD story every time: "Young man on acid, thought he could fly jumped out of a building, what a tragedy." What a dick! He's an idiot. If he thought he could fly, why didn't he take off from the ground and check it out first? What a moron. We lost a moron. WE LOST A MORON!!! Its not like we lost a cancewr cure, the shuttle lauch isn't gonna be delayed. So what if I'm one car length up in traffic tomorrow. I don't mean to sound cold or cruel or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out. Professional help is being sought."
Harsh but approriate to this. The problem is that the guy could have been a ancer curer no matter how unlikely.
there's an infinite number of possible futures each choice and action we make determines the future so its possible that because of some mundane choice you're responsible for setting off a chain of events that leads to the death of one of these "cancer curers"
War can be debated as good and bad, Ofcourse war is good for the wining side, But for the people that loose it is bad.
Although everydeath helped future generations such as WW2, If we didn't fight and die for out freedom, we would all be ruled by the Dictator Hitler, Its those past generations that have preserved our future!
To be honest, This is a touchy subject, and everyone has very strong views on a topic like this.
No matter how much you hate people dieing in pointless wars, preventable causes, murder, or greed, you have to admit that each death gives your future generations a better chance to thrive on this planet.Unless we set up colonies on another planet, that is.
True. The earth can only hold and provide for so many people and some places have already reached boiling point - China(overpopulated) Africa(too many people to feed)
You see, those lives lost may have the talent or are the key to our future
What if I said that one of those people who died could become the next Hitler or kills any other person who is 'the key to our future'. I mean thats just something we cant know so why put it into the equation.

I have agree. for example when we send aid to Africa, such as vaccines and food, less people die so now they need more and more aid which just increases the problem. It seems Africa just wasnt meant to support these many people its truly sad.
