This idea is aimed at solving the problem of users spamming ghost accounts.
It's rather simple. Whenever someone comments on an account with less than 10 AP a moderator recieves a notification of some kind, and can check out if it's spam or not.
The downside to this would be that it would probably be rather bothersome to moderators who wouldn't want to check out every single notification, as I'm sure there would be many. However if users were aware a mod would be notified the temptation to spam might be ovverided by a fear of being caught. In addition, those caught spamming would be appropriately punished, and opefully the number of people spamming ghosts would be diminished.
I understand what you are saying and I agree that this would be a good idea, but that's way too much for the moderators to look over. I would like the idea of locking a newbie's comments to start out with.
Maybe AG should have a robot of some kind that detects spam posts and sends an email to the user if it thinks they are spamming. They get three warnings but on the fourth that is when a mod goes to check. That sounds like a good idea, except that the bot would have to be smart and not send random ones.
Bots are a good idea, just that they may go haywire. Some sites actively use bots, including letting their users write one. If the developers can, maybe they can invent a spam-deletion bot. STROP (Shifting-Trash-Robotic-Online-Personnel) perhaps....

Bots would be a great idea, if we can get them to work well. Also, that name is hilarious.
This would also be pretty hard to program. The program can easily crash if some trickster pulls a prank and registers over and over again. Good idea if the human mind wasn't complex.

It's ok I think. Should be nothing to the developers, although I'm not that good in programming so I can't say more. But ghost accounts really are annoying. Unless AG appoints a team of spam deleters....
What would you define as spam? Because somtimes I write "Hi" on people's profiles. I don't do it to spam, but to meet other people and make new friends. I mean, I usually write more than "Hi", but I'm not sending novels worth of greetings to the other users.
Yeah, I'd have to say this particular example of an idea may be impractical. However, I'm sure there are other cases where moderator notifications would be most welcome e.g. that which may help us reward really good game reviews with merits, as right now, as you all probably know, it's extremely hit and miss.

Now that you're talking about it, we think of Flipski as one of those...I'm not saying he is! But as a character in AG-based fictions, he said he'd be some kind of spaminator robot. And I'm not going to think of an acronym for that, no sir!
