Opeth, it's progressive death metal, awesome!

My favorites are Death, Atheist, Obituary, Deicide, Morbid Angel, Suffocation, and DYIIIIING FEEEETUS!!!! Just off the top of my head.

I mostly listen to Melodic death so the only "real" death metal bands I listen to are Bloodbath,Death and Nile.

Oh,how could I forget Vader.Vader rules!!

I've never really listened to Vader, but I've only heard good things about them so I'll have to check them out.

Also, somebody's gotta mention Cannibal Corpse. All the albums with Chris Barnes on vocals are awesome and the majority of albums with Corpsegrinder are good. I heard their new song "Evisceration Plague" on Headbanger's Ball though and wasn't impressed at all.
