A Spartan vs. Ninja (Yes, I did get this from Deadliest Warrior I just wanted to see what the people at ArmorGames think will win)
Personally I think the Spartan would win in a one on one battle. The only way a Ninja would win is by assassination and getting the Spartan from a distance. The Spartans also have shield, a spear, bronze armor and a shortsword. What are your opinions on who would win?
One on one I would (regretfully) have to go for the ninja. Ancient warriors like the a spartan were trained to fight in close formations like a phalanx. Whereas the ninja is an expert on working alone on would, I can only assume, have a variety of techniques to counter a heavily armoured slow warrior. After all the armor must weigh alot.
Ninja all the way. while the Spartan is sleeping he could just get him with a ninja star or something.
Aren't we to assume that they're both awake? No? Whatever.
I'd go with a Spartan. Somewhat because of the movie 300 (even though afro isn't talking about those spartans), but also because...I hate ninjas now. /bias
For the record, that "Greatest Warrior" show is full of bull. Anyone see the samurai verus viking warrior? The samurai would -not- of carried each and single everyone of those weapons into a battle. It would make no sense. The viking would of won, unless it was purely a ranged battle.

Ninjas were not made to fight face-to-face. There is a reason they were masters of stealth: They were assassins. Sure, they could prolly wield a katana well enough. But against a shield, spear and shortsword wielding Spartan? No, I am sorry. It would not work.
And do not say "OMG throwing star for the win!!" Because have you ever used a throwing star, spike or knife? They are not made to kill. Sure, they could...but they are mainly made to injure or cripple an opponent, giving a moment to rush in and kill them with the main weapons.
Like Devoid said, Ninjas aren't great combat fighters. They are decent in it if they specialize in swordsmanship but they specialize in Throwing Objects. Spartans are masters of all fighting techniques and they are hand-picked of the best babies. If you ain't over requirements, off the cliff you go! So Devoid, that show ain't good? It seemed good but hey, Hollywood has made a lot of crap look good.
