I believe there should be a preview before you post button, so you can see if the pictures/words form the right design, instead of having to double post in attempt to explain the faults. This might cut down on the double posting.

It will also let users see the syntax of the post, allow them to adjust when needed.

Yeah, apparently BOTH preview and edit ideas are forwarded on a regular basis but I'm a bit amnestic right now.

Darn, and I thought it was an original idea.

Not to rant but it would really help on those religious 12 year olds if we had a preview button, so they can actually read what they are typing and making disgraceful accusations.

yes a preview button would not only cut down on the number of mistakes with things like emboldening, adding images, quotes etc.. but would also give people a chance to re-read what theyve written, i know many people type a load of crud and post straight off, and then really do double post in oder to rectify things, it might help people get inot the good habit of checking their work, especially longer texts, which are hard to read scrolling down through the short comment box!

as for an edit button, instead of having to post again to explain something, what i've seen on alot of forums is this..
you have your comment, and if you edit it, you cannot take away from the original comment but it does this:

This is the original comment
--------------------------------------------
Edit: a subscript added explaining smething if need be, or expanding/rectifying something you said in the above comment. doesnt add to your number of posts, stops people reading something you wrote badly and thinking you are a fool as you can rectify it

Yea that does sound like a good idea... actually it sounds fantastic. But there should be a penalty of some sort involved in using the edit button, because if you can't type what you want to say in the first time around and proof read it, then you should be punished for it.

Hmm, that's quite imperative right now, at least for me. I think the administrators should consider it.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

Huh. I always thought we had it on this forum. Most forums usually have it. That could help people slow down and read what they are posting so that might be a good idea for people who don't purposely spam.

Exactly, which is why, as a solider against spam, this should be pushed to be created

The main reason for spam is because people are too eager (for points? to get their point across?), the preview button will slow people down.
