There have been a few who showed some interest in seeing more of my art. I figured I'd start out with some photography and share a few pieces with everyone. The hardest part for me is to decide what to toss up here. I literally have hundreds, some from my starting days and some more recent.
When it comes to all of my art, be it drawn or photography, people are my favorite subject and I have this thing for taking photos of my violin. I also enjoy taking macro photos, and do some nature shots as well. I mainly do the nature shots for prints, since their generalness makes them good sellers.
That said, please enjoy. Feel free to ask any questions that come to mind as well. And of course, mods, if any image is deemed inappropriate for the forums here, let me know. I don't do nudes, but there are some shirtless male models. (No man-boobs, I promise!) If this goes over well I might put up some drawings too. ^_^
The photos are all by one person, me. ^_^ Glad you like them!
how can i upload photos, should i have website? i should upload it first on flickr perhaps? help me, thx
No, you don't have to have a website. I happen to have one, but its not required. I suggest going to photobucket.com, creating an account, and uploading your photos there. From there you can link an image here on the forum. You should start your own art thread though, since this one is called Photography by Tiamot, it wouldn't make any sense for you to put your pics up here. There is another general photography thread in this forum, you can put your photos there, or as I mentioned, start your own thread so that everyone knows that you're the artist.
The reason why I began my own thread is simply because I literally have hundreds of photos, so it made sense to stick them all on one place being that I have so many to share.
Send me a message on my profile if you need help with getting your photos up!
Well, yes and no. I don't travel specifically to take photos (although I'd love to!) I just happen to have been lucky enough to have been to several places and I ALWAYS make a point to have my camera. As far as Norway goes, I used to live there, so I'd go out and about the mountains to take photos, and just to enjoy nature since I love hiking.
On that note, how about a few pics from my trip to Scotland? Sorry about the quality of some of them. These are from back in 97 before the digital camera wave, so I had to scan prints.
A photo of the bridge in the woods surrounding Blair Castle. This is near Pitlochry and the famous pass of Killecrankie.
An evening shot of the Ring of Brodgar, on Mainland Orkney.
Swans on Lock Stenness, near the ring of Brodgar and next to the Stenness stones. Again, on Mainland Orkney.
Orphir round church on Mainland Orkney. This is the only surviving ruins of a medieval round church in Scotland and dates from the 12th century.
These last two images are of Inchmahome Priory, built on an island in the center of Lake Menteith. Its an Augustine priory founded in 1238. Its situated north of Glasgow, in central Scotland and you have to take a boat out to the island to get there.
