In my opinion the counter/dodge system made the battles way to easy there was almost never any challenge

Thats why you have to switch it up. Its a brilliant part of the game, you dont always have to fight the same way. They will improve upon this though, and they have already introduced the face that there will be multiple weapons to choose from in a mission.

HAve you noticed thought that while you can kill soldiers with one hit form a knife, it doesn't work. I don't like that because it ruins the whole meaning of stealth.

It was fun, but I hated some of it. Reminded me too much of Prince of Persia ....

I really liked it.

The cities were well designed, huge & very atmospheric. Voice acting was good, graphics were very nice, and the gameplay was engaging. I don't mind the difficulty curve - like you said Kyouzou, you can kill people pretty easily in combat.. but it does play into what the game is? I mean the really tough opponents are the knights templar. City guards are essentially just peasants that have been handed a scalemail tunic & a sword or spear and told to watch for criminal activity. You, on the other hand, are an assassin that has been training in the arts of combat your entire life.

Makes sense to me that they're easy to kill. Beyond that, I don't think it ruins the stealth element of the game. It's like in Metal Gear Solid - the focus is on sneaking around & staying hidden, but when things go wrong, you have another set of skills in combat to fall back on - but it doesn't change that fact that you *should* try to be discreet. If you just run around killing guards for fun, you've missed the point of the game (and that's royal you, I don't mean you specifically)

I'm looking forward to the second title.

I really liked it too, but, the problem is that it got boring really really quick. The only reason I finished he game was so I could get the achievements for my 360.

Actually there is a way that you kill your opponent no matter what, what you gotta do is grab and throw your opponent (make sure he doesn't hit something) and then switch to hidden blade and kill him while he's own the ground guaranteed to work as long as your opponent doesn't grab break. But that doesn't make me anticipate the second one any less. I heard it's set in the french revolution, also was anyone surprised at how (insert main characters name) never managed to escape from the lab, i mean he knew exactly where the doctor kept his key card it would have been a simple matter to just jump him when he turned away steal his key card and clothes then sneak out of the building.

Prince of Persia was an epic game. When I found out Assassin's Creed would have a similar system I got it immediately. Assassinating was pretty fun, but the game was really easy. The only difficult part was collecting all the flags, and that was just tedious.

Yea it would have been better if they had done it like Acre for the whole game where each area had a small amt. of flags that way you knew where to confine your search.

the graphics makes up for its gameplay though, but still, pretty cool game, and the storyline is really like no other.

if the gameplay wont get you to play, the storyline and graphics will...

well...that's why i played till the end, and the ending was pretty choppy (wish it made more sense)....

Assassins creed is the best, i still play it today, and yet, killing kings and lords and beating people up for information was hilarious. But sometimes, the view points didn't have leap of faiths, so i died.
