Hmmm, temperate forests are fine. Everything else kind of sucks. Deserts are too barren. Taiga and tundra are too cold. Rainforests are too humid. YEah I'd take good old temperate forests.
Also don't forget that it's not all about land enviroments. I'd make my vote for Coral Reef, there's a lot of marine animals down there, and I love undersea life.
Green grassy meadows and thick forest undergrowth side by side is my environment. Either bask under the sun with the insects and flowers, or walk through the forest alongside the rustling of trees in the wind, listening contentedly to birdsong. I shall vote for those two natural environments.
A grassy hill. Not too elevated. A field perfect to just lie their and let all the things in the world go away for that period of time. So nice to do that every once in a while.
I love the Dales. Brigh heather gives it a purple tinge and it just rolls on for what seems like an eternuty. True the weather isn't that good always but in the summer it is gorgeous, surrounded by wildlife not a cloud in the sky and it has some great bike tracks; nice jups and some huge downhill bits
Temperate beaches. Not the kept tourist attractions, the more wild ones. With crabs and seaweed and sharp pebbles and burning jellyfish (though I could really do without the latter two). Awesome beaches. Where the sand is baking and seaweed rotting/drying on the shore. Where the water is chilly compared to the hot summer air, or a comfortingly warm alternative to the early autumn storms. I really miss going to the beach. :<
I like lakes too, but freshwater in forests attracts so many insects it's almost unbelievable. So beach~
