We are at the End of the Age which will be concluded by the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and the dismantling of the present world system by means of the Great Tribulation. Christians do not have to be in darkness for Jesus has foretold the signs, many of which have seen unprecedented fulfillment in the 20th century: warfare, disease, famine, natural disasters and signs in the heavens/space (e.g., modern space exploration and comets). Jesus spoke of all these things in Matthew 24. The love of many has grown cold in this time of unbridled selfishness leading to violence, fear, broken families and moral decay (Matt 24:12, 2 Tim 3:1-5).
the seven signs of the apocalypse is controversial and there's not really any defined signs but some people believe the seven signs are the seven seals talked about in revelation
the first four seals are the four horseman of the apocalypse pestilence or conquest, war, famine and death
5th seal: everyone martyred for the word of god asks when god will avenge them
6th seal: a great earthquake and angels mark 144k people with the mark of christ
7th seal: 7 trumpets are given to 7 angels and they each blow their trumpet destroying the world
I hope this aloso gives youa better realization of the end times.
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of Godâ" 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
Putting aside my broader opinions on the subject..
There's not much to make of them. They're like most prophecy in that they're a little on the vague side. History is inundated with separate occurences that had occured all at the same time which people had used to predict the 'end times' foretold in revelation. Unfortunately to their own credit, it didn't come true.
People still try today to use revelations & signs of odd occurences & disasters around the world to justify a prediction of the oncoming apocalypse - especially in this day & age where news travels so much faster and our ability to track these events more often & accurately has improved so much. I don't think we would know for sure until it had actually happened - there's just too many doomsayers to weed out which one would actually be correct.
