Okay. Lets say there are 40 ants and one mouse. They are going to have a war, but the war is in your hands. Who will win? Also explain why you think they will win!
I vote for the 40 ants since they are super strong, and the big bad mouse is out numbered!
regular black ants (as far as I know) don;t have uge mandibles and poiosnous bites etc. so I'll plump for the mouse he does have (comparatively) big teeth and could just stand on the ants.

Yeah. Those regular ants won't do much to a mouse. Ants wouldn't attack a mouse.
I imagine a mouse would eat carpenter ants on a regular basis if it wanted to. Forty ants is quite a bit, but they probably wouldn't attack in unison. More likely they'd stumble around and just get eaten.

Ants do not coordinate attacks. They do not seem capable of doing it. Like Wigginometry said, they are more likely to scatter around and run away. They could also get eaten, if mice were ant eaters.
