I tried uploading a video on Youtube and it says, uploaded (processing, please wait). So, my first question is, it's not showing up yet because it's processing is that good or bad? My second question is can I turn off my computer while my video is being processed?
Processing is a natural process that Youtube videos have to undergo. Don't be paranoid about it; if the video doesn't show within 9 hours, try uploading it again.
You can certainly shut off your computer when it is being processed. You aren't "uploading" anything, Youtube needs to do the "dirty" work, you could say.
My friend has uploaded many videos to YouTube, and it takes a few hours. It's because of the video & audio files' byte size. Obviously you'd need your computer on for this, as YouTube is still extracting all the encryption. Although wouldn't this be in Programming Help...?

I'm afraid I don't really understand the whole process behind this. So you're saying the Internet takes the job of uploading, not the uploader's computer itself?
Well the longest I ever took was like an hour. So it should be fine. Oh yes, after you upload, it takes some time before the display picture of the video does appear...

Uploading and Processing is a completely different thing. Uploading, requires your computer, so you can't shut it down while uploading. But processing, is what Youtube is doing. The internet is processing your video, not your computer.
I hope that's understandable, I might've sounded a bit vague.

Umm.. Yes, you can turn off your computer. Because it was finished uploading right? And if it was finished uploading it should say Processing, please wait. Because that's what always happens to me when I upload somthing. Anyways after a while or so.. the "Processing, please wait" will eventually turn into Public. And when it say's Public, it will be public. Meaning the video is public and anyone can see/view it. But when your uploading that's a whole diferent story. While uploading I suggest you don't turn off your computer. Or else you would have to re-upload it. And that would be a waste of time.. Well i hope this helps.
