you are in a room with three switches, you can only use 2 of them, and each one goes to a separate 3 lightbulbs outside of the room. how do you find out which switch goes to which lightbulb?

turn on one switch and leave it on. turn on the second switch. wait for 3 minutes then turn it off. when you go outside the lightbulb thats on is the 1st switch the lightbulb thats warm will be the 2nd switch the lightbulb thats cold will be the 3rd switch. yay!
Three men are going to a hotel and decide to rent one room and split the cost. The owner of the hotel informs them that the room costs 30$, so each man pays 10$ and they go to their room. Later that day, the hotel owner notices he made a mistake and that the room was only supposed to cost 25$, so he sends an employee to give the men their 5 dollars back. Since he knows he can not split 5$ between 3 people, he keeps two dollars himself and gives the men back a dollar each.
Since the cost for the room was 30 dollars, and the men each got a dollar back, they paid a total of 27 dollars. The employee kept 2 dollars. 27+2=29. What happened to the other dollar?
