Yes, we all heard of 2012. Nobody believes it. They say the world will end, but what will happen when it doesn't.

PLZ PLZ PLZ do not talk about the end of the world, there's other threads for that. Talk about the human reactions to this "lack of events"

Nothing will happen when nothing happens.. things will go on as they do, there will probably be some news report on the matter, and people will forget and move on.

it's funny how the human race has always believed in an "end"

well it would be logical, since many people believe in a beginning.

The end of the world will be postponed to a new date, like 4 August 2015 and so on.

One question....

Why would the world end at a certain date in a few years?

Because, well, there are too many reasons to name. A couple are:
A long time ago, a man predicted: Two twins will crumble down from birds attacking from the sky
It happened, and happened when he said it would happen, September 11, 2001.
He also predicted the world would end on December 21, 2012.
I believe the mayan calendar also ended on that date.

Care to back that up with a valid source, not just an website saying that, an actual document? You can create anything you want these days and have people believe it, doesn't mean it's actually true.
Plus, with the Mayan calendar ending theory, isn't it just possible that they had to end their calendar somewhere? I mean, honestly, what are they supposed to do? Make an infinitely long calender? My Monty Python calender ends, doesn't mean its the end of the world just because they couldn't be bothered to print an infinite amount of pages.
