why is er not a place where you can send (JPG) pictures for a picture of the day? and you can send comments and rate the picture! the highest rated picture of the month will be picture of the month! it has to be pictures that has been made on Armor Games! and there is a archive where you can see the picture of yesterday, or last year! and you can still see the comments and how high it is rated! it is funny idea! i now a site where a picture of the day already is from 2004! look on: picture of the day 25.04.09: picture archive: send picture: (i don't make adviserment for this site!)
I am not sure if you have noticed it, but this is a gaming website, thus making games the most important, not images. There is a lot of thing we find more interesting to have, like a preview option. And this would give the staff a huge amount of work. Not a good idea.

Uhm... Offtopic. Since the discussion is on why there is not some weird function for picture of they day... But anyway, another time (unless you are posting your own picture in the art section), it would be best if you put some text in. If it does not speak for itself in the context of the discussion, it is the better way.
And back to discussion: Gaming site, takes up staff time, too broad and so on.
