Whoooaaa...who necro'd this? It's from '08, peoplez! My favorite part is probably where the one...dude...gets shot right next to the jugular cept still survives and goes back to rescue the other soldiers. Cuz that means he's hardcore. But the part where the guy goes deaf because the other guy shot right next to him was pretty cool too. Also: when that Pvt. Gold-forgot the ending...Goldburn? Falls out of the heli, that was pretty cool. Hard to choose. Not the best movie though. Never played the game.
So if you could rate it from 1 to 10 what would you give it?
As far as historical accuracy is concerned I give it a 3/10. It completely neglects to inform the viewer of anything outside of the small squad. You have no context as to why these soldiers are killing Somalians, and so, you don't really care.
As entertainment, I suppose you are not supposed to care, however even on that very basic level, the film goes on way too long, and you don't have very much of a bond with the characters, which diminishes the action sequences, which aren't too bad, so I'd give it a 6.5/10.
I like everything in the film. But the two snipers killing the Somalians with their battle rifles and then with their pistols, along with the pilot killing everyone in front of him with a submachine gun was a great scene.
I could always rewatch BHD and never get bored of it.
My favorite characters would probably be those 2 guys who stay in there position and one goes kind of deaf because his friend shoots his machine gun on top of his head.
Wow that sentence was terrible, but I didn't know how else to put it ha.
