Smell is an important aspect of our lives. It helps us in wonderful food tasting, smell the thousands of smells of our surroundings, including the bad ones unfortunately. It'll be a sad world without your nose.

So well, aside from that, what's your favourtite smell? The most detested one?

I love the smell of freshly baked pastry =] Glutton, oh well.

And the smell I hate the most is from excrement. Especially the puddle of piss that was the work of some inconsiderate soul in the lift. Dang!

A freshly-opened pack of Stride gum ^_^

The opposite? The droppings made from a sickly dog who has unfortunately
obtained the Paarvo virus. You haven't smelled anything horrible 'till you smelled that.

Loves: Cigar smoke, pipe smoke, wood smoke, fresh cut fruit, my own farts, some perfumes/flowers (not gay, wife uses them, I will get to that more in a minute)

Hates: Feces, bleach, ammonia, ammonia+bleach, horrific body odor, any one else's farts, my wifes breath (which is why she uses the perfumes/flower scents(see I told you so))

My favorite smell is a mixture of freshly brewed (and strong) coffee along with frying eggs and bacon first thing in the morning. It takes me back to childhood ... I think favorite smells take most adults back to childhood and probably are the reason they're favorites. I also love the smell of early Spring.

The worst smell I have ever witnessed was back in college when I had to inspect the different body organs from a cadaver. Yes, the "not-so-fresh" smell of formaldehyde and death is somehow not my cup-o-tea.

that is beautiful.

I love the smell in the restaurant in New York. The restaurant's name is called "The London". The smell is soo good, it is because that unlike most restaurants it doesn't smell thick with grease, it is a crisp smell of the intermingling of halibut, new york steaks, and other fresh produce.

mmm ... so true ... I have worked in restaurants as a second job almost my entire life so far ... there has only been one restaurant that smelled clean and of fresh produce, fish, and meats. That's because the kitchen was always spotless and the food inventory came in fresh daily... unlike most restaurants which smell like "greasy spoons".
