DDX did you get legend with Hydraulic? Ice wall is good, not sure about dead man's plea. Between ice wall, flash freeze, and Restore, I don't know if it is worth spending a turn for dead man's plea.
I'm not sure if it's even possible though... did you go for a full healing/protection build or did you try to deal damage as well?
Go with defensive/healing hydro... They are darn near impossible to kill and you can swap out veradux... After all, you've got:
--healing moves-- Restore: good healing. period. Reconstruct: Wastes a couple turns but the healing is worth it --and then the barrier moves-- Ice Wall: gives you a couple turns to get your bearing and increases sensitivity to healing Safe Guard: shields and heals Mirage: Prevents damage very well --other-- Stiff Upper Lip: good passive Dead Man's Plea: good last ditch move for Roald/Felicity
Dead man's plea really isn't a last ditch move because it doesn't offer any direct healing or protection. It's an optional extra... some of your other choices (Reconstruct, Mirage) seem doubtful as well. And there's no way you can have ALL those things.
Listen, anybody offering advice here, you gotta say whether you've beaten the bloodhounds as a Hydraulic without training battles or not. I mean, how seriously should I take your advice? Until I hear that someone managed to do it with Hydro, I'm just starting over with a Bio.
with the blood hounds, in the abilties i had 3 restores (3/3) 2 Ice walls (4/4) 2 Glacier (4/4) 1 guardian form (1/1) cold neurology (4/4)
use the rest for stiff upper lip. you want to lower one of the blood hound's damage even if that mean you have to use an ocassional Ice wall in desperate times when everyone on your team has low health it toke me a couple of goes doing thing because my team make keep on dying. you need 200+ instinct as well.
I'm not exactly at the stage where the bloodhounds are, but i'm at the stage where the colonel is and i'm on legend run with hydraulic. I did the hot blooded setup since I failed miserably with all other setups while facing captain hunt. I'm currently level 19. And invested all my points in strength. So i'm going to show you the build I used.
Equipment (Just good to know. Since your trying the legend run, you might not get some of these items.)
Thunder Mask (Tunnel Beast: Stage 4. I think) Spark Gloves (Stage 4 Shop) Shandor's Darkstaff (Can't remember what dropped) Charged Armor (Tunnel Beast: Stage 4. I think) Spark Leggings (Tunnel Beast: Stage 4. I think) Tomekeeper's Slippers (Mage: Stage 2)
Roald
Mining Helmet (Tunnel Workers: Stage 4, after hydra) Rebellious Hands (Came with Roald) Annihilation (Spectre: Stage 3) Bugo Hoss Tuxedo (The Host: Stage 4) Lower Rags (The Hobo or The Real Hobo: Stage 3) Beggar Boots (The Hobo or The Real Hobo: Stage 3)
If you found some better items, feel free to add some items that give more Strength, (To Sonny and Roald) Instinct, (To Veradux) and Vitality (To Roald as well).
Abilities:
Impair 1/4 (prerequisite) Hot Blooded 1/1 Regulate 2/3 (prerequisite. It should be 1/3 but i forgot to respec) Wreck 4/4 Demolish 4/4 Mind Freeze 1/4 (prerequisite) Flash Freeze 4/4 Ice Wall 4/4 Warm Neurology 2/4
Yea that's true, but the abilities i have are scaled with focus. Demolish and Wreck are scaled with remaining focus. And warm Neuro increases focus. It would do more damage but that's fine.
My youtube channel currently has a Let's Play of Sonny 2 as a Hydraulic (Cold build). It's stuck at episode 13 because of a lack of motivation on my part, but it can get you to at least Z3.
Channel is Zeke50100, select the "Let's Play Sonny 2" playlist.
If there's enough demand, I'll try and finish the darned thing. And yes, it is shooting for a 100% achievement game, including Legend.
Basically, you play very defensively. That's all there is to it (well, it's pretty difficult at that, but still)
