I know there is allready about 25 million topics like this, but I couldn't find one after looking a bit, so I decided to make this one. As the topic suggests, this is about Reward Armatars. Many great suggestions have come up, such as getting some for earning a certin amount of Merits. Or mabey by subbmiting a game. These are all great ideas, but merit rewards might lead to spam, and not everyone has the tools to make a game avalible to them. I think my favorite suggestion was gettting a set of armatars after a user has been a member on AG for a year. This is open to flexibility such as rewards for being a member for 6 months, or how ever long it is decided. I made this thread so users could talk about the award for being a member for a certin amount of time suggestion. You can talk about any reward armatar suggestions, but please stay on topic. Once again, I am aware that there are other threads like this one, so we just make this the offical Reward Armatar thread if it ok with everyone. Allright, that's enough talk from me. Now I want to hear from you. Do you have any suggestions? If you do, then please feel free to post them here.
Ok, can we please talk about getting some after being a member for a year? Like armatar suggestions, the amount of time you need to be a member to get them, ex. Thats why I made the thread. There has allready been alot of disscussion about the merits-worthy ones, but not alot about the ones you could get for being a member for a certin amount of time. (at least thats what I think)
The thing I don't understand about this 1 year or 6 month thing is what if we're already past it? Do we automatically get it? That would put a tremandous strain on the system I would imagine, and what about inactive or ghost accounts?
The Anniversary Armatars is a great idea. The merit Armatars would be good too.. but I think it would cause more spam. But it wouldn't increase by a lot.
The merit awards should be: 1 Merits 5 Merits 15 Merits 40 Merits
Just because its not easy to get Merits and I doubt someone will get to 100 merits any time soon.
By checking that nice stickied thread in the Newcomer's, which is actually named "Moderators and MERITS". Also, questions like these should be asked in the Newcomers, and not in a thread with no relation to the question.
I'd like reward armatars for the time you've been active on the site. Maybe determine it by the weeks, and you just have to be active at least once during that week to count it. That way it would be more of an exclusive thing. Maybe some for 6 months, a year, two years, three years, etc.
It would also be good for merits. Encourage people to write good comments more. A set of armatars for 1 merit, 5, 10, 20, etc.
However for posts and comments, that would encourage spam. They would spam even faster because they'll get more of a "reward".
It'd be cool if there were armatars for completely random things and AG didn't tell anyone about it. Eventually everyone would find out what to do to get certain armatars, but you'd never know if there were anymore out there to get :]
The only feature that I would really push is that I would want some kind of anniversary thing. Just something that would let people know that you are a senior member. For instance- Next to your armatar, or on your profile, there could be a little badge showing that you've been a member for a cretin amount of time.
