Apparently, according to the star of the show, "In Treatment" (great show), Irish dancing and Gaelic are hip in Ireland again. Anyone speak Gaelic? Anyone do Irish Dancing? Anyone from Ireland? Also, if you do speak gaelic, would you write something in gaelic in a post and then translate?

It is actually interesting to watch. It is crazy how hard it is, and it takes incredible strength (my sister does it ).

I enjoy watching Riverdance, Lord of the Dance, and Feet of Flames. They're wonderful Irish shows and I'm obsessed with them. I know pretty much everything about them.

i'm not a huge fan of it to be honest though I've seen it a few times. North-east england ain't exactly gaelic but I've done the dancing in PE. I can't find a good english-gaelic translator anywhere so I won;t post in that language

Happiness...even at the limited interest this topic seems to be drawing.

You do it in PE?

Years ago know I haven't done P.E. in ages EAch term had a different focus. We'd do cricket, athletics, football (soccer) and dance. We'd do all sorts Flamenco, gaelic, square etc. I hated it. lol

Gaelic is one of the many ancient languages that are rare to find someone actually using. I'd love to learn it though, it's of my heritage.

Lord of the Dance

Eh, that used to be cool. But, Michael Flatley has gone down the tubes lately. He is lost to the dance...

But that does not change the fact that he is still crazyyyy good.

hip? persoanlly i dont think it ever went out of 'style'. i used to do irish dancing but gave it up because i found it boring, there's still the same ammount of competitions as there was tho. Also for the language, theres the gaeltachs and stuff which keep it alive.

He retired, did he not Ricador?? I know he went in the hospital for some reason but the show itself is still good, even though he's not in it. In my opinion, anyway.
