alt-prtscreen and open up paint an goto edit-paste, if you onna laptop it sometimes is in light blue.. if that's it hit fn-alt-prtscreen etc.

i'm only assuming you mean a snapshot from your computer

If you are talking about a camera just get a camera and take the picture.

Hit the shift+prnt scrn. This is only for PC's, then paste the picture into paint or some other art program.

For macs hit apple+shift+4 for a cursor to appear, then drag that over the place you want to take the picture. The picture should appear in your desktop.

usawchamp, do you mean how to link a picture here? Because if not, it shouldn't be in the S&S section. To link, copy and paste the url of the picture. Then highlight it and press image. Voila! Bad thing is you cannot link directly from your computer.

As Nichodemus said you can't post directly from your computer. You need to upload picture to photobucket or any similar site.
For those above you don't need to hold Ctrl or Shift button when pressing PrtSc. PrtSc alone is enough, then paste in Paint and save image.

Actually, it's Alt > Print Screen for me. Interesting.

Oh wait, Milos is right.

hit prtsc (print screen), then go to paint, then hit "ctrl+v".

For some computers you have to hit alt or shift and print screen, but for me, i just have to press it by itself.

Looks like everyone's post just says 'Print screen', 'same for me'. In essence, these are all spam. If you don't have any more input, please do not keep repeating the same thing over and over again. Cheerio.

There are some applications which can do the job for you. Jing is one of them. It offers more features than just pressing Print Screen

Yes, lots of operating systems have those built into them. Try going to all programs > multimedia. It may just be labeled 'Screen Capture' simply.

And, because I really really really wanted to post this somewhere...

And you can also use a program called "Jing". It is really great! You should download it. I use it, since I have a laptop.
