My laptop is being screwy, and so i tried to run a system restore.

It would not run it, and said this:

"The system restore could not be complete. There was a disk failure. You may want to try again at a different restore point".

I tried several different points, but still got the same message.

Any ideas as to why it is doing this/how i can get the restore to work?

Have you run a Error Check?

My Computer > Right Click C Drive > Tools > Error-Checking run that - usually it says it can only do it on restart click OK.

Restart your machine then try the system restore again if need be.

I would try to scan a spyware terminator first, to see if you have any viruses.

I agree. If it still doesn't work after that then you should take it to an expert.

I agree with roadripper and green1234 however if you can't figure out whats wrong with it and don't feel like spending money on geek squad you could always Factory Reset it which basically wipes the drive clean of anything you stored there and some how brings back everything you may have deleted that came with the computer, I suggest you only do this if you have everything backed up on another harddrive.

Sometimes your laptop is just dirty. My friend's laptop died because of all the dust accumulated in the drive.

I recommend an internet search giving the problem that your computer is facing and the model of your computer. Be as specific as possible. This is a good thing to remember when it comes to buggy comps: I it happened to you, it likely happened to someone else.
