True, Shadow of the Colossus was an amazing game of last gen but I think it's a little out of date. I think the people who made that should definitely make another one for the PS3.
Why.. Why... WHY?! A THOUSAND CRAPPY MARIO SEQUELS AND FINAL FANTASY CLONES BUT NO ONE -ATTEMPTS- TO FOLLOW SUCH A BRILLIANT EXAMPLE?
The beautiful atmosphere, the silent (but very clear and dramatic) story, the innovative game play (who wants to fight minions? Honestly?)... Oh what I would give to see a spiritual successor.
What are they going to do? Make a second game with the same gameplay idea but different colossi? That would seem really cheap & uncreative.
They hardly ever make a sequel have the same exact gameplay. If they do make one for the PS3 then they could do so much more. They could possibly push the system to the limit by being able to face more than one colossus at the same time. Now that would be pretty sweet.
I don't think a movie would be good. A game like this would be ruined by a movie since most of the time, movies based on games suck which is the same other way around. If they do make a movie, then they should spend a lot of time on it and don't rush it like they usually do with movies based on games.
I said "spiritual successor" for good reason, a direct sequel would be impossible... But a game with a similar style of game play would be something worth looking into, even one with different colossi, character(s), and a different story behind it all.
