Well, ultimately it's your choice, but if you are going to invest time and money into buying and playing xbox games then I would recommend getting live. For 1 year $50 isn't too steep, and even if you play it infrequently you will get your money's worth. Being able to play online is essential for certain games and increases the lifespan of some massively.

If you have an Xbox 260, you have to have XboxLive. There's no way around it because as you found out, DLC is an awesome thing. It'd be even better if the stuff was free.

You should get XboxLive. I don't have an Xbox, but if I did, I'd get it. I think its much more fun to play online with other people than with CPUs.

The only bad thing is that it costs like 50 bucks a year to have it. With PS3, it is free.

You do realize silver is free, right? Even if you get gold alot of DLC still requires Microsoft Points. So if you just want DLC it's pointless, but for everthing else it's definately worth it.

It's up to you but in my opinion I tihnk you should. You can play with others online and chat. But then some games don't have live.

Well, i have both consoles as well, and i say Since Live cost money just save up. Live is the best way to enjoy your Xbox games.

Psn is good since it's free. But some games are just not as good as on Xbox.
