That's a common problem with 'favourite threads' due to the nature of the question itself. A better name or question would be 'Do you have a favourite colour and why/how come?'.
Aside from all that, I don't have favourite colour. I love every single one. Take one out and the world gets less vibrant.

My favorite color is purple, because nothing in nature is purple (ok maybe like some leaves are purple but nobody cares about leaves, they all die every year anyways...)
I like orange because it is very bright and positive. Plus it looks very cool when combined with black into a pattern or something. Like a volcano black rock, orange lava.
