AQ: Free(mostly), solo(mostly), very very simple. RS: Less freeish, MMORPG, considerably more content and variety, far far FAR FAR less terrible than AQ, also browser based. WoW: Most definately not free, drastically more and better developed gameplay, 3D, active combat, serious storyline, PvP that isn't fail.
Simple version: You get what you pay for, go as high as you are willing/able.
In my opinion, they all suck(I have not tried WOW yet, though all of the people in my school that I know play it are goths or emos. I'm not Kidding). AQ is the best of the three though. Not much laf since it's solo, its got minigames, and it has strategy involved, unlike Runescape.
It really boils my blood that there is no skill involved in Runescape. I mean, look at the fighting. Click, use food, click,use spell, lather, rinse, repeat. It's the same with all the other activities in it.
This is kind of off subject, but Mabinogi is much better than all three. If it weren't for the fact that you barely get any money from the dungeouns so you have to spend a lot of time on the game, therefore you are sucked into buying a membership, it would be awesome. Not that I bought a membership, of course.
I have played WoW for about a year and Raxel's opinion is completely correct, If want want a free game that is worth spending time on then play AQ. If you want moderate gameplay for free play Runescape, for an very inexpensive price you get a few extra features. If you are willing to pay a $15 a month for awesome gameplay then WoW is for you. They are the only one of the three to have multiple factions, races and classes. That means there is much more to do. It may seem boring at first, but you can't judge a book by it's cover, level a little more, make friends then you have one of the best games there are. WoW is nothing like Runescape. Runescape: Free for all PvP WoW: Two equal factions PvP Runescape: Easy scamming WoW: Unless your very inattentive or gullible scam free Runescape: Lots of hackers WoW: Very minor hacks (and they are dealt with pretty fast) Runescape: Low quality grafics Wow: Very good graphics

AQ: 3/10
RS: 5/10
WoW: 9/10
Based on price:
AQ: 10/10 ($15 one time fee or free)
RS: 7/10 ($5 monthly fee or free)
WoW: 5/10 ($15 monthly fee)
I hope you take that into consideration if you want to play one.
AQ is only free in the same sense that Runescape is free.
In other words, STOP RECOMMENDING IT FOR THE PRICE. I could go on to say that you should include WoW regardless because the topic implies that all three are options (Meaning price could be considered, but there is no chance that one of the choices is excluded because of it).
...Assuming this isn't one of those phony-bologna "Feel good" topics where everyone spouts out their own stories instead of trying to establish the pros and cons of the games in question. >_>
